My Most Unique Creation Yet

I know, I know...it's been forever and a day since I last updated this blog. But I swear I have a really good reason.

You see, the truth is that even though I took a bit of a hiatus from jewelry-making, I was working on a major project that required all of my time and attention. That's right. I made a baby.

Well, technically my husband and I made a baby. But you know what I mean.

Allow me to introduce you to the new love of my life, Naomi London. Ain't she cute? (This is already an old pic...she's all fat and smiley and even cuter now!)

She joined our family on April Fool's Day, which seems to really suit her personality. She's already hilarious!

I was making jewelry during most of my pregnancy (even though I didn't get around to much blogging). In February, I rented a table at a local women's conference sold several pieces. It was an easy event to do, and I met some wonderful people. I tried to take on one final custom order in March, before having the baby, but that didn't quite work out.

Since Naomi's arrival, I've barely even had a chance to step foot in my studio, much less make any jewelry. But as she gets older, I'm planning to work my way gradually back into a creative mode. But so far motherhood seems to have left me with no free time, and any spare time automatically goes toward getting more sleep.

The good news is that I did manage to reorganize my studio before Naomi arrived. I put in some new shelves and got a new table to use as my workbench. It has a lot more surface area, so I can really spread my materials out and work on multiple projects at once. So when I do finally get back to the beads, it'll be that much easier to be productive.

That's all for now, but look out for more updates and new pieces from me soon. Thanks for reading!
